“ I’ve been living in the Morris Park area for 20 years now, and this is by far the best Mexican food I‘ve tried here locally. My husband ordered us takeout. We got chorizo nachos, a Chicken quesadilla, rice, and beans, and Some Al pastor tacos. The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely authentic to Mexican cuisine. We also got some Mexican bread as a dessert. Will Definitely order again!! ”

“ Best Mexican food I ate here in NYC. To be honest I was ignoring this place cause I thought it was not good but one day I just said let me try it and it was so delicious! Best spot if you want authentic Mexican food. Location: It is located in Morris Park, outside it looks like a grocery store but when you go in there is a small cashier that you can order the food. Also the grocery store has a lot of Mexican items that you can buy. Service: The server was nice, she gave me good recommendations. Food: All that I ordered was delicious, we finished it in one sitting because everything was delicious. PORK TACOS: omg the servings is huge and everything on it is fresh. I loved the green sauce to put on it. It was by far the best tacos I ate here in NYC. GUACAMOLE and CHIPS: another favorite! The guac is very fresh, they just made it when you order. The chips are crunchy too unlike other places that chips are already soft. Price rating: 6/10, it was not that bad for the price. All foods are good! Will definitely come back here cause I love authentic Mexican food! I will try next time the tostadas and hard tacos! ”

“ Aguilar’s had a small supply of grocery items so I would give them a call before assuming they will have in stock what you’re needing to buy. I wanted to purchase an avocado but it was $3.50 each when I went on 11/05/25. I ended up ordering a Torta milanesa de Pollo the ingredients were well proportioned, tasty and overall a perfect sandwich. I also ordered an Agua de Jamaica which was perfect! ”

“ Had a spicy pork chimichanga and it was delicious, lots of cheese and savory meat. For $10, you can’t go wrong. Comes with a side of guacamole/lettuce. Small sit in area that accommodates 15 people at most. ”

“ Great authentic Mexican food. FANTASTIC TACOS ! My favorite is the El Pastor a spicy pork with pineapple on a double layer soft flour tortilla with grilled scallion and fresh radish and sprinkled with onions and cilantro. The red hot sauce is amazing. Remember to order them mexican style ”

“ You'll be surprised to know that this unassuming hole-in-the-wall grocery store/grill makes some of the best authentic Mexican food you'll eat anywhere! My family and I have been eating there at least once a week for the past year since I discovered this little gem and we still get excited when the plates comes to the table. My favorite is their tacos. Plump, juicy and loaded! The homemade salsas are perfect! The place has 4 small tables and a little bar with a handful of stools. It's predominantly a grocery store that sells Mexican foods, homemade Mexican beverages and some fresh produce. It's owned and run by a husband and wife who are so friendly and always greet you with a welcoming smile. The store is cozy, always super clean and has a welcoming feel to it. Lightning fast service! You can tell the quality of the ingredients is superior and the food is consistently delicious. I ordered some of their chorizo to cook for a food event at work. Some of the cleanest, freshest sausage I've ever cooked. The whole tray disappeared in no time! We absolutely love Aguilar's! Try it out.. you won't be disappointed. ”
